Autumn Foliage
There’s nothing to compare to the colors of autumn in Acadia. The oaks, the maples, the birches, the blueberry bushes– all put on a show of extravagant color for that brief period of 2-3 weeks every October. It’s what brought me to Acadia for the very first time in 2006; I had read about this being the premier location in America to see autumn color, and I wasn’t disappointed. Acadia turned me from being a black and white landscape photographer to a color one. Sometimes you find it hard to believe the beauty in front of you, and that it’s all natural. I’ve seen photographers in Acadia artificially boost the colors of their autumn images, but honestly, you don’t need to. Nature does it for you herself.
