***The October 2018 Acadia workshop was a big success– check back here soon to read about our adventures and see some of the places we photographed.***

The 2019 Images of Acadia photography workshop/ tour will be a small group workshop where I'll take you to some of my favorite places in the national park and give you one-on-one instruction in landscape photography. Each day will be filled with photography, from sunrise to sunset and beyond. There won't be any strenuous hiking or climbing involved but a reasonable level of fitness is required. Having said that, many of the locations we'll be visiting will be close to where we park our car. Find out more by following this link:

I'm also available for more personal, one on one instruction in Acadia. This can be at whatever level of photography you're comfortable with, from beginner to advanced. We can go at your pace, whether that's shooting all day, or taking plenty of breaks and going at a more leisurely pace. A three day minimum booking is required.

Workshops2

As someone who has been photographing in Acadia for many years and written two books about Acadia, I bring a wealth of experience to any workshop or instruction I give. You will learn how to compose an image, decide which lenses to use and when to use them, how aperture and shutter speed are important in creating an artistic photo and how to deal with light and all kinds of weather conditions.

Finally, I'm also available as a guide for your Acadia trip, whether or not you choose to do photography while you're there. I can take you and your family or associates to all the best places in the national park, including places where most visitors never go. I can also help you find a place to stay and places to eat as well as arranging transportation. A three day minimum booking is required.
